The Proposal Session
This package looks great! What happens after I book?
Once you’ve booked your session, you’ll receive a link to schedule a one-on-one call. During this call, we’ll chat through your ideas, go over logistics, and create a personalized game plan that ensures your proposal unfolds seamlessly.
What day should I surprise my partner on once we aRrive?
We recommend planning your proposal for the day after you arrive. This gives you time to rest, settle in, and avoid any accidental sunburns or tan lines. Once the surprise is over, you can spend the rest of your trip enjoying being newly engaged. It will be the romantic getaway she’s been dreaming of.
What time of day is best for a proposal, morning or sunset?
Both are beautiful, but for a classic proposal experience, we suggest a sunset beach session followed by a romantic dinner. Morning sessions are ideal if you want to pair your experience with creative add-on concepts like horseback riding, picnic setups, waterfalls, etc.
My partner is shy. Are there locations without a lot of people?
Absolutely. We know plenty of quiet beaches and scenic spots away from the crowds where you can enjoy an intimate and private moment that feels natural and personal.
How will I find my photographer on the beach or how will they find us?
Before your session, you and your photographer will exchange quick photos of what you’re wearing so you can easily recognize each other. We’ll also share live locations to make finding one another easy.
I’m worried my partner will see texts from the photographer and get suspicious.
We completely understand. Some partners are naturally curious, so we keep communication minimal and discreet to avoid raising any suspicion or spoiling the surprise.
Can you provide a Marry Me sign setup, roses, or musicians?
Yes. We partner with trusted local vendors who handle custom displays, floral setups, and live music. Just let us know what you’re envisioning, and we’ll help coordinate everything for you.
What happens if we’re running late?
Proposals often run a little behind, and that’s completely okay. We’ve built our 60-minute package to allow extra time so there’s no rush, whether your partner takes a few extra minutes to get ready or you need time to walk to your location.
Do you offer mini sessions? We only need 30 minutes.
Our proposal packages start at 60 minutes to make sure everything has time to unfold naturally. Sometimes, travel, timing, or your partner taking a few extra minutes to get ready can shift the flow. This session length gives us the flexibility to capture the full story while keeping it relaxed.
What if it rains on the day of my proposal?
Hawaii weather can change quickly, but we always have backup plans. We’ll monitor conditions and adjust timing or location if needed to make sure you still have a beautiful experience.
Can I bring family or friends to watch the proposal?
Of course! If you’d like loved ones hidden nearby or waiting to celebrate afterward, we can coordinate the timing and placement so the surprise goes perfectly.
Do we need a permit for the location?
Some beaches and parks in Hawaii require photography permits. We’ll take care of that process for you so everything is simple and worry-free.

Once you’re officially on the calendar, you’ll receive access to The Planning Suite. It’s your go-to space for personalized location selection, wardrobe tips, prep guidance, and everything else you need to feel prepared.
You’ll also receive our exclusive Big Island Adventure Guide, packed with trusted local recs and HAP-only perks to help you plan an unforgettable week in Hawaii.
Step 03: The Photoshoot
We’ll meet at your location of choice and guide you through a laid-back, adventure-filled Hawaii couples portrait session that’s equal parts playful and polished. Whether it’s fixing a flyaway, carrying a change of clothes, or offering just the right prompt to get you laughing, we come prepared to make it easy and fun. Two weeks after your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery featuring 100+ beautifully edited images. This couples photo gallery is yours to browse, share, and savor as you relive the moments we captured together. From this collection, you’ll be able to download the photos included in your package and purchase additional photos to ensure you walk away with the images that mean the most to you.
